Industry standards upgraded again! Space-o Group hosted the "National Forestry and Grassland Administration Forestry Industry Standard "Orthogonal Glued Laminated Timber" Seminar" to jointly promote the standardized development of the industry!

On November 13, 2023, the second seminar on the forestry industry standard "Orthogonal Glued Laminated Timber" of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration was successfully held at Jiangsu Space-o Technology Group. The meeting was hosted by the Wood Industry Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences and hosted by Jiangsu Space-o Technology Group Co., Ltd. and the National Innovation Alliance for Wood Structure Industry.

The conference was held in a combination of online and offline methods. Dr. Gong Yingchun, Institute of Wood Industry, Chinese Academy of Forestry, presided over the meeting.

The meeting began with a welcome speech online by Ren Haiqing, the leader of the Cross-laminated Timber Standard Project Team and the Director of the Wood Mechanics and Wood Structure Research Laboratory of the Institute of Wood Industry, Chinese Academy of Forestry. He welcomed the experts and entrepreneurs present and hoped that everyone could put forward more forward-looking and practical suggestions for the formulation of the Cross-laminated Timber Standard with a broader vision and deeper thinking, and jointly promote the standardization, upgrading and development of my country's glued timber industry.

Subsequently, the meeting was addressed by Sui Yongfeng, President of Space-o Technology Group. President Sui Yongfeng mainly emphasized the significance of the formulation of the "Orthogonal Glued Laminated Timber" standard for the industry: more standardized development will greatly promote the progress of my country's glued laminated timber industry, promote the systematization, standardization and marketization of glued laminated timber products, and promote domestic glued laminated timber to the international market.

The main agenda of the meeting, the standard discussion of "Orthogonal Glued Laminated Timber", was chaired by Dr. Gong Yingchun of the Institute of Wood Industry, Chinese Academy of Forestry. Dr. Gong gave a detailed introduction to the compilation process of "Cross-laminated Timber", mainly including the current status of CLT development at home and abroad, the establishment and compilation of "Cross-laminated Timber", and the main contents of the "Cross-laminated Timber" standard. He also had a full discussion with the participants chapter by chapter at the meeting. Everyone had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the specific content, technical requirements, and testing methods of the standard, and put forward many valuable opinions and suggestions. Through this full discussion, the participants discussed and discussed the areas that need to be further improved, which provided a guarantee for the high-quality completion of the standard formulation.

After the meeting, the meeting group will further revise and improve the "Orthogonal Glued Laminated Timber" based on the opinions and suggestions of the participants to ensure the scientificity, practicality and operability of the "Orthogonal Glued Laminated Timber" standard, so as to better promote the high-quality development of the glued laminated timber industry!
